Abstract
- Researchers from Jilin Agricultural University in Changchun, China have developed a new method for treating diabetic wounds. The study focused on addressing issues such as inflammation, bacterial infection, bleeding, and wound exudate accumulation, which can hinder the healing process. The researchers created multifunctional electrospun fibrous membranes (EFMs) that contained Taxifolin (TAX) loaded onto cyclodextrin metal-organic frameworks (CD-MOFs). These EFMs demonstrated antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, and wound exudate-absorbent properties, promoting wound healing in diabetic mice. This research provides a potential new strategy for the treatment of diabetic wounds. [Extracted from the article]
