Abstract

A recent report discusses the implementation of a Learning Community (LC) among 15 states to improve services for pregnant and postpartum individuals with opioid use disorder and infants exposed to substances prenatally. The states developed action plans with goals, strategies, and activities, and qualitative data was analyzed to assess their alignment with focus areas. The research found that many states included activities focused on access to quality services and provider awareness and training. The study concludes that LC participation supported the sustainment of activities to improve health and healthcare for these populations. [Extracted from the article]
