Abstract
- A clinical trial, NCT06169774, has been launched to develop an educational video on aseptic techniques for handling central catheters in patients receiving home parenteral nutrition. Home parenteral nutrition is used to provide liquid nutrients to individuals who cannot absorb or tolerate food orally. Patients receiving home parenteral nutrition are at a higher risk for bloodstream infections, and this study aims to assess the effectiveness of video training in reducing catheter-related bloodstream infections over a 12-month period. The trial is not yet recruiting and is expected to be completed by January 15, 2027. [Extracted from the article]
