Abstract
- The author argues that the concept of freedom in American society has been corrupted by its association with settler colonialism and imperialism. He suggests that the current understanding of freedom as individualistic and market-driven is less compelling to many Americans, especially those in marginalized communities. The author proposes that a more inclusive and solidaristic understanding of freedom is necessary.
