Abstract
- A study from the Russian Academy of Sciences explores the creation of antibacterial nanocomposites that release drugs over an extended period. The researchers focused on the synthesis of mesoporous silica nanocontainers (MSNs) loaded with the drug quercetin and their incorporation into an alginate matrix. They found that the MSNs contained a significant amount of the drug and that the release rate depended on the pH of the medium. This research has implications for various medical fields, such as dentistry and tissue regeneration. [Extracted from the article]
