Abstract

Researchers from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV-IPN) in Mexico City have developed an active lower limb prosthesis with a sensorial frame. The prosthesis incorporates an exoskeletal extension that provides feedback on residual signals, such as the states of the hip and thigh. The design utilizes a simple proportional-derivative control and has undergone stability analysis, simulations, and effectiveness evaluations. This research contributes to the field of systems and control engineering and may have implications for the development of affordable and effective prosthetic devices. [Extracted from the article]
