Abstract
- A new study has been published on infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV), a highly contagious virus that affects poultry. The study focused on an outbreak of IBDV in California in 2009 and aimed to uncover the molecular factors contributing to the virulence of the virus. The researchers conducted whole genome sequencing of the virus and identified specific genetic markers associated with virulence. These findings provide important insights into the evolution and virulence factors of IBDV and can aid in the development of control strategies for early detection of novel strains.
