Describes research into the effects of low temperature induced photodamage on seedling performance and survival in the nursery. Provision of the automated system; Activity of excess light-energy dissipating xanthophyll-cycle and antioxidant production; Reduction of the photosynthetic capacity and induced acclimation to photodamage through nutrient-deprivation.
