Abstract

The article reports that IVMD Inc. has recently announced the results of recent clinical trials conducted in connection with its labor prediction device. According to the company, when used in home environments by healthy pregnant women, the device provided an overall prediction of the onset of normal labor between 14 and 7 days in advance. Independent studies show the uterus spends time before the actual birth date getting ready for the labor process. IVMD's predictive technology interprets this established physiology with a small electrode system that is placed on the abdomen and an electronic recording device.
