Abstract

The article discusses bell hooks's legacy and the lessons from her work, and how hooks's teachings might inform a person's praxis. Topics include how doing antiracist work in racist systems requires idealism and a little measured optimism, bell hooks's book "Teaching to Transgress," multicultural education and diversity and social justice.
