Abstract

• To appreciate that aortic dissection in some patients can present without any known traditional risk factors. • To acknowledge the association between use of tyrosine kinase inhibitor and aortic dissection. • To recognize that partial Horner's syndrome can be a rare presentation of dissection if the. • dissection extends to involve the major branch vessels of the aorta. This case illustrates the unusual clinical presentation and natural progression of type A aortic dissection, found incidentally on echocardiogram in a patient with breast cancer. Possible association of tyrosine kinase inhibitor with aortic dissection is reviewed in the light of this case. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
