Preparing an Emergency Water Supply Program.

The project taught EWEB staff valuable lessons in planning and implementing an emergency water supply program, as well as in coordinating with public agency partners and drilling new wells inside city limits. In accordance with the plan, EWEB developed a mobile water distribution system (distribution trailers) that can use stored water in reservoirs, existing groundwater wells, treated surface water, and neighboring utility interconnections. Emergency Water Sites Beginning in 2017, EWEB decided to expand its emergency water supply system by establishing permanent water distribution sites using groundwater as the source.
