Abstract
- ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS) (Off-camera) But now a hopeful sign as we emerge from the pandemic and the mental health challenges that brought on from any of us. A new survey finds fewer Americans are feeling lonely compared to early on in the pandemic. Seventeen percent of Americans, about 44 million people, self-reported feeling significant loneliness. That's down from a high of 25 percent 2020 and early 2021. Young people and those who are low income at higher risk of feeling lonely, which can negatively affect physical, emotional and mental health. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
