Abstract
- The purpose of this article is to present how to solve critical path problems by simulation. The activities specified for the realization of the design of a naval engine injection cam having random durations, the probability distribution of the total realization duration is determined by Monte Carlo simulation method. The automatic statistical analysis module Analysis ToolPak of MS Excel will be used to generate uniformly distributed random numbers and the PERT/CPM module of WinQSB software will be used for simulation.
