Wartime London: Sexual Paradise.

The article presents the author's interaction with a gay man. In 1934-1935, when he was 21, he commuted between New York, where he was a graduate student at Columbia, and his home in Norwalk, Connecticut. One day he sat next to a good-looking guy with red-blond hair and mustache, a real winner. It wasn't long before the author felt the pressing of his leg against mine and not too much longer before his hand had moved under the overcoat in his lap. The upshot of all this was that they often sat together when they took the same train and under the cover of their coats they used to jack each other off.
