Abstract
- Many Japanese companies have introduced various business software packages (=packages) to improve operational efficiency. In some cases, the introduction of packages has not always been successful. However, few reports have quantitatively analyzed package introduction cases. This study proposes the Business Modularization Capability Index (BMCI), consisting of organizational, business, and modularization capabilities, to evaluate package introduction cases quantitatively. By quantitatively evaluating 17 package implementation cases using the BMCI, we clarify the relationship between organizational capability, clarification of operations, modularization of operations, and package consistency.
