Abstract
- The recent ?cultural turn? in sociology ultimately acquires the weight and seriousness of a methodological turn, which takes us away from representations based on identity and situates us in the space of resemblances based on perception. The former is situated in discourse, which is margin-conscious and explores language?s own resistance to being apprehended. In the end, perhaps the epistemology of the ?human sciences? via the ?cultural turn? achieves its momentum by inscribing itself into its own ?literary space?, where explanation is supplanted by the image of perceptive description.
