Abstract
- In the last decade most new immigrants clustered in areas that already had substantial group concentrations. There are some new areas, though, where a specific group became highly visible for the first time. This paper contrasts familiar and unfamiliar places, provides information on their size and growth, and discusses the extent to which they are creating new ethnic neighborhoods in these places.
