Abstract
- The authors tackle the need to re-energize the Modern Army Combatives Program (MACP) in the U.S. into unit training plans in the post-COVID pandemic era. They discuss the closure of the MACP during the pandemic, the importance of hand-to-hand capabilities of U.S. soldiers during close-counter combat operations, a history of MACP, and the use of the Combined Arms Training Strategies tool in the program.
