Abstract

As Roy accurately points out, the uncontrolled capital accumulation process in neoliberal age of capitalism dehumanizes labour with the tag of "informal" and tries to contain and control the labour force by disciplining beyond the realm of rights (P. 120). In overall, Roy in this book makes a serious attempt to unfold the real character of neoliberal capitalism. The large segment of petty producers residing in developing countries which have been brought into the accumulation network of capitalism through sub-contractual or arm-length production, have expanded the process of proletarianization and precariousness in third world countries.
