Abstract
- The article focuses on investigation of the problematic order of succession of Egypt's Kushite kings with the enigmatic inscription of an Assyrian king. It mentions Assyrian royal inscriptions follow a standard pattern, with invocations of deities, the royal titulary and a preamble. It also mentions Assyrians captured Ashdod, Gath and Ashdod-yam, which were added to their empire and Delta dynasts such as ‘Shilkanni.'
