Abstract
- The article announces that Russian Communication Association is holding its second biannual international conference, Communication: Theoretical Approaches and Practical Applications at the Institute of Management, Business and Law in Rostov-on-Don, Russia on May 24-28, 2004. Scholars are invited to submit papers for presentation at the conference addressing one or more of the following themes: communication theory and research; teaching communication and communication curriculum development; organizational communication; interpersonal communication; international and intercultural communication; language and communication; argumentation and rhetoric; mass media communication and computer-mediated communication. Papers will be competitively selected based on a three-page abstract to be included in the printed conference proceedings. The conference fee of $340 includes airport transfers in Rostov-on-Don, translation services at the conference, meals, a city tour, the conference banquet, a day trip to Starocherkassk and the Russian Communication Association membership fee for two years. Lodging costs may vary depending on the number of nights and the level of accommodations selected. Hotel accommodations at a recommended hotel in Rostov-on-Don range from approximately $25 to $90.
