A Massage Approach to Whiplash: How a Journey for Answers to Unresolvable Neck Pain Led to the Platysma.

The author details her personal experience of resolving whiplash-originated headaches and neck and upper-back pains that led to the platysma. She describes the case of one client who presented with neck pain and with a history of thyroid removal surgery with an external scar across her throat. To address the referral pain, the author did some massage work on her scar in conjunction with other neck musculature with the client reporting reduced pain and increased range of motion.
