Focuses on plans by the regional government Metro and the Port of Portland, Oregon to invest in two turtle monitoring studies at the Smith and Bybee Lakes Wildlife Area and Rivergate Industrial District. Modification of a port project to make the flow of Rivergate's truck traffic to be more turtle-friendly; Computer identification chip to be implanted in all turtles about two inches in diameter.
