Abstract

The article focuses on the wine Chateauneuf-du-Pape which has a strong brand. The author suggests of being wary when selecting ones vintage. Apart from Champagne there is probably only one wine that can routinely get a lot of people to spend over pounds 10. Chateauneuf-du-Pape has the name, the labels and the stylishly embossed bottles. Branding aside, Chateauneuf has undeniably produced great wines for many years. It was the birthplace of the French wine labelling system, the first wine to be labelled on account of its place of production and other attempted guarantees of quality.
