Abstract
- The article describes the interference modeling in wireless communication. In wireless communication networks, signal reception is often corrupted by interference from other sources that share the same propagation medium. Knowledge of the statistics of interference is important in achieving optimum signal detection and estimation. Construction of most receivers is based on the assumption that the interference is independent, identically distributed Gaussian. The Gaussianity assumption is based on the central-limit theory.
