Abstract
- The article focuses on the woodblock artist of Wynkyn de Worde's 1498 and 1529 editions of Sir Thomas Malory's Morte Darthur created the only known original series of woodcuts for an incunable. It mentions about the woodcuts shape and determine an audience response to the role of women in the printed text. It also mentions that response to women several times moves counter to contemporary and modern views of woman's role in the late Middle Ages.
