Abstract

B Introduction: b Outcome reporting in breast reconstruction studies is inconsistent and a core outcome set (COS) has been developed to address this. The COS includes 11 key outcomes to be measured and reported in all future breast reconstruction studies, but for this to be useful in practice, it is vital to determine how and when these key outcomes should be assessed (a core measurement set, CMS). B Results: b Systematic reviews identified 14 commonly reported implant-related complications; the most frequently reported definitions and time-points for outcome assessment and three validated patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) for inclusion in the Delphi survey.
