Abstract

The article highlights the situation of bridging computer aided design to additive manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing. It mentions the goal of manufacturing and design software maker Siemens with Materialise to integrate AM technology from Materialise into Siemens' NX software; and also highlights the focus of Desktop Metal on metal-based 3D printing.
