Abstract
- (S, La<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>)-codoped rutile TiO<subscript>2</subscript> was synthesized by in situ hydrothermal method. The (S, La<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript>)-codoped rutile TiO<subscript>2</subscript> treated at 200 °C exhibited the highest photocatalytic activities for degradation of methylene blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. The synergistic effects of S and a small quantity of La<subscript>2</subscript>O<subscript>3</subscript> made the degradation rate of MB as high as 98.4%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
