Abstract
- Deals with the efforts of the Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA) to persuade the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) to delay implementation of the Stage 2 Disinfectants/Disinfection Byproducts Rule until the two year postpromulgation deadline for states to obtain primary reinforcement authority. Background on the proposed Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule; Reason of ASDWA for objecting to the proposed approach by USEPA for defining and dealing with significant excursions; Factors that could influence water distribution systems.
