Abstract

Shoulder instability can severely limit the function of patients and is the cause for multiple emergency healthcare presentations. Understanding the cause of the instability and the mechanism of injury are vital. There are a variety of conservative and surgical treatment options available often leading to a bespoke individual treatment pathway. This article discusses the presentation patterns, treatment options and current literature available to help guide a clinician in the management of shoulder instability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
