Abstract
- The article provides an analysis of divergent ethnic identities in families formed through transracial adoption. Topics include transracial adoption creating ambiguity and additional challenges for adoptive families, challenge in communicatively constructing and negotiating individual and familial ethnic identities, and how communication can shape individual and family identities in transracial adoptive families.
