Abstract

Abstract The paper describes the electricity balance, actual for 2005–2016 and forecast balance for 2018–2019. It has been highlighted that during the last period of country’s independence, it has positive dynamics. And within the next 10 years, it will not only be with zero deficit, but will also reach exports of 10 billion kWh of electricity. This is predicated on the basis of the existing high rates of hydraulic engineering construction in the country. The paper also analyzes exports and imports of electricity across neighboring countries and indicates great importance of energy links. To analyze the electricity balance, the authors highlight the need for taking into account the so called “hidden” and “visible” deficits. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
