Abstract
- This section offers American Historical Association (AHA) advocacy news briefs as of May 2018. Two letters were issued by AHA president Mary Beth Norton about developments that would have negative consequences for history education and research and her opposition to the inclusion of a citizenship question on the 2020 Census. The AHA also rejected proposals to reduce funds for several federal humanities programs.
