Fan and its Paratexts.

An essay which examined the role of paratexts and their relationship with film to understand stardom, fandom, authorship and industrial practices in Bombay cinema through the sample chronology of paratexts in the film "Fan," starring Shah Rukh Khan is presented. Topics covered include centrality of the Internet as a venue for the circulation of the paratexts, short videos focusing on fandom and the cultural aspects of fandom in the context of darsan and nazar, two looking practices in India.
