Abstract
- The article discusses handling of old paper in archives. A table of preservation practices for various sorts of paper including rag, wood fiber, and modern recycled paper are offered, photographic examples of aged and degraded paper are provided, and practices for chemical neutralization of paper acid are examined within the context of a library materials deacidification project at the Universität für Bodenkultur Wien university.
