In Combating Terror, Can Macron Avoid France's Past Mistakes?

Abstract
- The article discusses France's new president Emmanuel Macron's activities to combat terrorism in the nation. It is stated that after France's recent experience with terrorist attacks in 2015 and 2016, national security has become a central issue in the campaign of Macron, besides economy. Macron established a new national center for counterterrorism comprising 20 persons, which will oversee French counterterror efforts and will be under the president's authority.
