The Growth of Chinese Think Tanks and the Question of Crime.

This paper reviews several of the key issues that underlie the development and expansion of think tanks in China from both a domestic and international perspective. Special effort is made to focus on criminological think tanks, and the need for criminological research, as China begins asserting its intellectual and political influence on the global stage. The paper concludes with a discussion of how Chinese think tanks can advance the international scientific community's knowledge of the theoretical causes of criminal behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
