Abstract

The article presents a study which uses social identity theory to compare the political success of U.S. President Donald Trump and Bolivian President Evo Morales. Topics discussed include their respective political personalities, their appeal to people in their countries who feel underrepresented politically, and populism. Other topics include their successful political campaigns, intergroup emotions theory, and the connection between partisan identity and bias, activism and anger.
