The article discusses Ukrainian historiography. The author questions the alleged lack of perceived distinction between Ukrainian and Russian history and well as examining the alleged impacts of Ukrainian nationalism and antisemitism on their collective historical consciousness. Alleged conflict between Ukrainian, German, and American historiographers since 1995 concerning the role of national narrative in Ukrainian history is reviewed.
