Abstract

The article discusses a study on the relationship of mathematics socialization and identities of U.S. undergraduate students to their agency and persistence in mathematics. The study used classroom observations, interviews and survey data to conduct a cross-case, qualitative analysis of undergraduate freshman and sophomores.
