Abstract
- The article discusses a study which examined the learning experiences of highly mobile, marginalized youth in the U.S. who received direct instruction. The study utilized an analytic framework to determine the mathematical empowerment of students. It highlighted a Mexican American high school student's experiences of curricular structures in her classrooms.
