Abstract

The article describes the case of the need to establish categories if an organization of terms is to serve information retrieval. It tackles the systemic indexing developed by Julius Otto Kaiser, the use of the expression "literature" with "text" by Kaiser, synthesis in systemic indexing and the kinds of index terms.
