Constructing, Modeling, and Engaging in a Successful Educational Partnership.

The article offers information on the relationship between art educators and art therapists. Particular focus is given to how art can offer students alternative ways of communicating thoughts and ideas, understanding experiences, and developing resilience and defining a stronger sense of self. Additional topics discussed include the Carson Valley Children's Aid (CVCA) non-profit child welfare agency, the importance of being present and showing students that you care by being sensitive to their needs, how art can be used for self-care and mindfulness training.
