Abstract

The article suggests to recognize oral history as a best practice in high school education in Canada, citing its role in helping teachers address difficult knowledge. Topics discussed include the pedagogical elements linked to the educational use of oral history and the roles of oral history in reviving national anniversary events and learning about important historical events in the country.
