Light therapy effective for nonseasonal depression.

Abstract
- The article discusses the effectiveness of light therapy, sole therapy and in combination with fluoxetine in treating patient with nonseasonal depression, according to an American secondary care study. Randomization of several treatment groups including light treatment, fluoxetine and inactive negative ion generator and placebo pill, are presented. Also highlighted is the use of Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) in assessment of severe depression.
