CONSISTENT vs. INCONSISTENT LAYOUT ON A WEB PAGE: A USER PERFORMANCE PERSPECTIVE.

This paper adopts Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) techniques and follows user interface design and evaluation methods to compare and contrast an original website with its converted consistent version. User evaluation was conducted using HCI data collection methods. The results of experiments showed that users performed better with web pages (with scrolling) of consistent layout and design.
