Spice Costantino stacks up library design projects.

It could be said Spice Costantino Architects Inc. of Middleburg Heights, Ohio started a new chapter in the firm's history when it branched into library design during the 1980s. The firm, formerly known as Braun & Spice, was founded in 1971 with a focus on health care, but when health care reform and consolidation began to surface in the mid-1980s, projects began to dry up and the firm sought to diversify. That strategy this year landed the firm amid five library construction and addition projects in Northeast Ohio.
