READING RESEARCH PAPERS IN 'UNPRECEDENTED DEPTH'.

An interview with Eduard Hovy, researcher from the Language Technologies Institute of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pennsylvania, is presented. Hovy discusses the main goals of the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) Big Mechanism project and its impact on future research, as well as how the assistance "deep reading" methods can benefit researchers. He also explains the selection of academic publishing company Elsevier by CMU to work on the project.
